About Us

Growing up in the Bahamas, made boating a normal part of everyday life. From getting groceries to catching a flight, hopping in a boat was part of the process. Man-O-War Cay is a small island in Abaco, Bahamas named after the bird, and it is well know for it’s boat building. It is a skill that has been passed down from generation to generation.

My Grandfather Basil Sands built boats on Man-O-War Cay in the 1960’s. To the left is a photo of him building a boats. My father Darvin Sands built boats, surveyed boats, repaired boats, and fixed mechanical issues. I was raised on a boat, and working on boats is in my blood. During my youth, I was taught by my father how to perform surveys on vessels and how to fix them both mechanically and aesthetically. My experience and knowledge are my most valuable assets. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with boaters all over the world.
